I have been shooting photographs in the Kiama area for 26 years, mainly weddings ,in fact I’ve shot around 400 just in and around Kiama. Many of these weddings have been at the Sebel Harbourside Kiama.

Kara and James enjoying some afternoon light just 5 minute’s drive from the Kiama Sebel.
I have access to over thirteen farms in the area for photo’s , I know every alleyway, every tree, and pretty much every grain of sand on every beach in the area.
Growing up here surfing, sailing, and hanging around the ocean has been an awesome experience. I know where to take you when that southerly buster hits after your ceremony, when the wind is 30 knots and it seems like a disaster, that’s when local knowledge sets in and you end up seemingly in a different world out of the wind for all your memories to be captured. I know exactly where to be and what angle the sun hits a location for that perfect afternoon light Kiama wedding photo that will hang on your wall for years to come.

Some of Kiama’s best wedding photography locations are tucked away from everybody but so close and easy to access for me as I know where they are. I would have to say that I’ve photographed more weddings at the Kiama Sebel than any other photographer.
Kiama weddings are beautiful, we have natural surrounds that are so unique, farmers growing produce, rolling hills dropping into the ocean, beautiful beaches and a layed back surfing and arts culture give this place a good vibe, its somewhere special that after your wedding day you’ll keep coming back for more.

Some people get friends to shoot their weddings, but only experience photographing many weddings can tell you where to be for that moment to capture the perfect shot that will be cherished for years to come. Photographing a Kiama Sebel ceremony can be difficult with cars driving past behind the couple, pedestrians walking on the footpath and yes the dreaded delivery driver who turns up for those Friday arvo deliveries I have to know where to be at these times to avoid bad back grounds. Perhaps the most challenging for the inexperienced wedding photographer would be the sun flair from the sun’s rays shooting down your lens if shooting back towards the old stone building.
After booking me I’m happy to organise a meeting to show couples, some of my secret wedding photography locations that are close to the Kiama Sebel Harbourside, you can then choose the look your after for your wedding photos but generally I like to capture you being natural, taking in the Kiama landscape, whether it be a giant fig tree, old barn, or some of the spectacular sea cliffs that drop into our ocean.

The best thing about Kiama Sebel wedding photography is it’s on the ocean so I always make time to duck across there for some shots if the conditions are right.
Being a local and knowing the area counts for so much when time is limited on a wedding shoot.

If you give me time I can take you to some interesting places through locked gates and upon mountains to locations nobody goes to. My Dad’s dairy farm mates look after me and don’t let any other photographers in, that what happens when your dad was the local milkman back in the day. I still remember sitting on the back of the milk truck as a kid unrestrained sipping caramel Moves while dad was driving.
